Favorite 30 Seconds To Mars Music Video?

Holy crap. This is a horrible horrible question to ask me. I love so much about all of them. Jared’s vision is unparalleled. I bet all you dirty people out there are going to think I’d pick Hurricane. But, while I love everything about Hurricane and the amazing genius behind it, I’m going to have to say Closer To The Edge.

I remember the first time I watched that video. I was just…blown away. There aren’t words to adequately describe how I felt. It was the amalgamation of every feeling I’ve ever had. Jared directed it with such grace and class that you really do feel like your there, screaming out the words with everyone else. It gives a feeling of not being alone, of knowing there are so many other people out there feeling it too. The way Jared shows the connection between the Echelon and the guys is incredible. You can truly FEEL the love. It’s a circle of life in its own right, to be honest. We love how much they love us for loving them.

I still get goosebumps and that feeling like I can do anything in the world when I watch it. It makes me feel like whatever is possible, and that any dream I have can come true. I could go on and on for hours about it, but I will just leave it at this.

Favorite Tomo Picture?

Hm, this one was a bit easier as I’ve always loved this particular picture of Tomo:

In the raised guitar you can see that he’s connecting with us. To me it shows how much he loves what he does. And that he loves doing WITH us. He still remembers what it’s like to be on the other side of that barricade and this is him telling us he hasn’t forgotten. You can see how in the moment he is on his face. How that moment means the world to him. He lets every bit of his soul flow through that instrument to share it with us. I love how much Tomo loves being in this family and how he never fails to show us how grateful he his.

Favorite Shannon Picture?

Hm. This was another tough one since Shannon has a TON of good pictures too. I’m going to go with:

I love his stance in this photo. And that he is dressed somewhat like a normal human being, lol. And his face in this picture is just..GUH.

Favorite Jared Picture?

There is no possible way to really choose that. Every picture of him is something different. They all show different sides of him, and I love them all. I’ve been contemplating this all day today. Trying to decide if I wanted a dorky photo, or a intense or an eyefucking one. But ultimately, I decided to go with this one:

To me, it shows him really in his element. Communicating with the audience in only a way that he can. Sharing his power with us in a way. Making sure we know together we’re strong. I feel solidarity in that raised fist. In that moment, we’re all there for the same thing. And as Arielle so eloquently put it, We Are One.

Favorite 30 Seconds To Mars Song?

It’s impossible for me to choose. Ever. There are way, way too many that mean so much to me. I don’t even think I could make a top 10 list. Um, I’m going to go ahead and say all of their songs are my favorite. That’s the best I can do.

7. Which 30 Seconds To Mars Concerts have you visited?

I went to the show in Norfolk, Va on 9/3/10 and then I went to Military night in Raleigh on 4/22/11.

There really aren’t words to describe the feeling of being at a Mars show. It’s something completely different from anything else.

6. Favorite 30 Seconds To Mars Album?

This is so fucking tough for me. I absolutely adore the S/T album, but I’m going to say This Is War. The album as a whole speaks to me in a way no other music does. It will forever be close to my heart.

5. Favorite 30STM- Band Pic?

That one to me, really shows MARS the way we know them. Tomo being crazy, Jared being dorky, and Shannon being normal. It shows the guys we love and pictures like this really make me feel more connected to them. They show their ‘human’ side and that they are just like us.

4. Favorite Song from “This Is War”?

This is a tough one for me. It’s a toss up between Alibi and Vox Populi.

Alibi really got me through some tough times, kept me going. It will forever hold a special place in my heart and I still can’t listen to it without crying.

Vox Populi is the song that keeps me feeling alive. It lets me know that I’m not alone, there is a family here for me and that they are behind me.

3. Favorite Song from “A Beautiful Lie”?

For me, this album is the easiest to choose. “Attack” is my favorite. It just pushes me forward in a way I can’t explain. Whenever I feel down, or like I’m not good enough I listen to it and find my strength again. The first verse really means a lot to me. I have “A new day is coming and I am finally free” tattooed on me, and every day I look at it and remember that there is always tomorrow. That I’m free from all the things that have held me back in the past. (myself, fear, other people, etc)

It continually renews my faith in myself and in the ability to overcome any obstacles put in my path.
